That was not what you saw in your dream – happy!
Nope, not the gloom and drumbeats of tears
neither the falling of brothers and sisters
to an unpredictable virus with infinite appetite for victims.

We witness yet again
How angels walk among us – in various ways
holding our fragile selves together
rekindling hope, building hope!
Through music some sing us breathe
healthcare workers holding turf – soldiering the fight
and many other angels in this health quagmire dare
rekindling hope, building hope!
Your plans were not to see love ones depart into shadows
be at the mercy of respirators – suffocating
their days numbered by the probability of exposure
age a recipe of fear – seniors the prey
in gloomy mood confined.
But though gloomy it seems thus far
And tears in rivers flow
We should hold ourselves together
And smile to each other – happy!
Continue rekindling hope, building hope!
