Sierra Leone musician commonly known as LAJ has been attacked by some youths alleged to be supporters of the ruling SLPP government.
Sources say the musician was at his hotel resident at Aberdeen, along the beach road, when he was attacked by unidentified youths.
LAJ has just been released from police custody after he was arrest on Saturday.
LAJ Da Boss or Boss Da Laj, known for his famous Song “Money Na Bank“, is among musicians in the country who were supporting then All People Congress presidential aspirant.
Supporters of LAJ claimed his arrest could be connected to his public support for the APC.
With thousands of fans throughout the country, his arrest is being viewed as an attempt by the government to silence critics and to send a message to the others..
“The president has warned he will not tolerate indiscipline,” said Augustine Musa.
His attack at Aberdeen has again raised concerns about the intention of the supporters of the SLPP.
