Police establishing whether Manchester suicide bomber worked alone

Police have named the suspected suicide bomber at the Manchester Arena on Monday as Salman Abedi, a 22-year-old was born in Manchester to parents of Libyan descent, according to BBC.

Efforts are being put in place by Greater Manchester Police in trying to establish whetheManchester-Arena-incidentr Abedi had worked alone or not.

Three of his victims have been named – Saffie Rose Roussos, eight, Georgina Callander and John Atkinson, 28.

He is thought to have blown himself up in the arena’s foyer shortly after 22:30 BST on Monday, as fans were beginning to leave a concert by US singer Ariana Grande.

Earlier, world leaders and celebrities send messages of condolence and support to affected families.

According to BBC, British Transport Police said the explosion was in the arena’s foyer connecting Victoria train and tram station, a major hub on the northern edge of the city centre.

Celebrities worldwide are also sending their support to affected families and the UK.

Adriana’s management team also send messages of condolence and support to the affected families and people in the UK.

“Tonight, our hearts are broken,” the statement reads. “Words cannot express our sorrow for the victims and families harmed in this senseless attack.

“We mourn the lives of children and loved ones taken by this cowardly act,” the statement continues. “We are thankful for the selfless service tonight of Manchester’s first responders who rushed towards danger to help save lives. We ask all of you to hold the victims, their families, and all those affected in your hearts and prayers.”
