Sierra Leone Parliament Ratifies Two MPs for ECOWAS, Pan African Parliaments

Hon. Manly-Spain will be replacing the late Hon Augustine Bokarie Torto

Sierra Leone — Parliament on Tuesday the 26th January 2016 nominated and approved Hon. Ajibola Manly-Spaine and Hon. Umu Dankay Bangura to serve in the ECOWAS Parliament in Abuja and the Pan African Parliament in Johannesburg, respectively.

Hon. Manly-Spain will be replacing the late Hon Augustine Bokarie Torto, a senior MP who passed away in 2015, whilst Hon.  Bangura is to serve in the Pan African Parliament, replacing Hon. Isata Kabbia who was recently appointed Minister of State II in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

The Speaker of Parliament, Hon. SBB Dumbuya made the announcement on Tuesday in the well of parliament whilst MPs concurred with their nominations in a collection of voices.
