With a total of Le157, 050,000 won so far, the second Grand Prize Winner of Le50 Million in the “Africell Ramadan Game Show 2015”, Foday Kamara, said Africell has changed his life for ever.
“I will buy a land and build a house,” he said.
Africell had the previous week announced the first winner of the Grand Prize of Le50, 000,000 in the person of Mr. Manso Conteh, a tailor residing at Canteen Street, Fourah Bay; married and a father of two kids.
“We are pleased to announce today, the 2nd Grand Prize Winner, Mr. Foday Kamara, a petty trader at Kuntulor, he is also married and a father of two kids,” said Africell’s Administrative and Human Resource Director, Mr. Abdul Aziz Gabisi, during the second presentation ceremony of prizes to winners of the “Africell Ramadan Game Show 2015” at the company’s Wilberforce headquarters.
The Head of Media, Nancy L. Joseph, implored Muslim subscribers to use its Africell’s Muslim value added services such as the Prayer times, the Holy Quran Recitation, the prayer (DUAH) of the day, or subscribe for an Islamic song from the Fun Ring Back Service.
“To subscribe for the prayer time, Subscribers need to dial 7120, for Holy Quran Recitation- 7100, The Prayer (Duah) of the day – 7122, it will cost Le410.”
She said to participate in the show, Africell Subscribers should send blank SMS or Call 777 to automatically qualify for the daily electronics draws. Early blank SMS sent or call made to 777 will incur a change of 410 Leones and Subscriber’s chances for winning increases with every blank SMS or call made to 777.
“All cumulated chances will however lapse at the end of the day. A live draw will be held every weekday (Monday to Friday) between 10:00pm and 11:00pm with effect from today, Thursday 18th June 2015 up to the end of the month of Ramadan. The show will be broadcast live on the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC TV) linking with Africa Independent Radio and other major radio stations Nationwide,” she noted.
Joseph said during the draw, qualifying numbers will be randomly selected using special designed software. On selection of a number, the subscriber will be dialled on their phone and then prompted to choose from 60 shining stars, numbered appropriately from 1-60. The Shining Stars contain different prizes and options including: Winning cash prizes ranging from Le.200,000 to Le.500,000, winning airtime credits.., option to spin the wheel of fortune and, option to access the golden moons.
Where a Subscriber wins the option to spin the Wheel of Fortune, they stand the chance to win prizes including Generator, Freezer, Plasma, Television, Cash, Airtime Credit, and Data Credit (Megabytes).
Where a subscriber wins the option to access the golden moons corner, they will be led to choose from 30 golden moons, one of which has the Star Prize of Le.50,000,000 (fifty million Leones). If a subscriber fails to win the Star Prize, they automatically win the consolation prize of Le.250,000.
In addition to this, every Friday during the month of Ramadan, Africell will be making a Ramadan Friday donation to selected needy institutions in the country of Le.10,000,000 (ten million Leones) each.
Mr. Gabisi also reminded subscribers and members of the media of the provisions of the Finance Act 2008 that all Lottery winning from Le 500,000 and above are subjected to 10% Lottery tax. We will deduct this tax from all winnings in this category and will pay over to the National Revenue Authority (NRA).
Subscribers are also reminded that the only number authorized to call subscribers regarding the promotion is 077 777 777.
